Heavily textured. The oil paint glides along the textures to create a figurative, moody piece. The minimal palette contributes to these feels. What started as a simple figure turned into more.

About this Piece:

This piece is part of an ongoing series of landscapes, skyscapes, & other-worldlyscapes. The series is titled ‘Flashing Phases’, which I started in Winter of 2025.

Each piece began with an acrylic base, followed by multiple layers of oil in a contrasting colour. The palette remains limited per piece. Consistently playing with texture, blends, & feel. The way paint & tools flow to guide the direction— each piece comes to life.
